The completely online Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP) is for practicing registered nurses and aims to prepare advanced practice leaders to affect change through system redesign and evidence-based decision making in a variety of clinical settings.
The DNP degree program at RMU is a five-semester completely online post-master’s program designed to enable students to continue working professionally in their communities while obtaining their doctoral degree. In addition to the Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program, Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions also offers a Post-Bachelor’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (Family Nurse Practitioner) degree program, a Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate, and a Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate (Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric/Mental Health).

Post-Masters Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree
The Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions was specifically designed for those with a Master of Science in Nursing who desire to further their own education with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice. With a 46-credit curriculum, this program allows students to finish through an online program.
This program will help students influence health and social policy for diverse populations in a variety of settings, collaborate with other teams to improve clinical care, and prepare nurses to assume greater practice and leadership roles within a healthcare organization.
The degree requires 1000 post-baccalaureate hours of clinical experience. Supervised clinical hours, completed in a Master of Science program or Post-Master’s certificate program, may be applied toward the 1000-hour requirement. The curriculum contains opportunities, including experiences in the completion of the Scholarly Project, to accrue the needed clinical hours.
