A Season to Be Grateful

The holiday season is a time where many of us reflect on the things that we are grateful for. During a time where we see so many sorrows and hardships throughout the world, we wanted to take the time to reach out to a few of our faculty and employees and ask them what they are grateful for this season in hopes of spreading more positive light upon this season and throughout our Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP) Family. As a University we want to express gratitude for some of the big things that have happened this year, which include:

  • Celebrating our 20th anniversary in June.
  • Another year of “Advancing Knowledge, Advancing Healthcare.”
  • The official opening of our Center for Communication Disorders.
  • Our amazing students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.
  • The successes achieved by our students through our programs.
  • Where we are located. We love Provo!

A few of the things that our faculty and staff are grateful for this year include:

  • “I am so very grateful for my family, friends, and colleagues who find ways to enrich my life daily!” – Dr. Michelle Webb, Program Director, Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Education Elective Track Director, and Assistant Professor
  • “I am grateful for good health, my family and being able to work in my dream job every day.” – Jeanine Farmer, Student Services Manager
  • “I am thankful for having a job that matters. We are educating the healthcare professionals of tomorrow.” – Cole Herman, Marketing Manager
  • “The Financial Aid Office is grateful to be comprised of dedicated employees whose top priority is helping students achieve their professional goals.” – Alex Jackson, Senior Financial Aid Advisor
  • “I am grateful to work at an institution of higher education because we are constantly focused on learning and doing more.” – Stephanie Bentley, Alumni Relations Manager

  • “I am thankful for the positive and supportive environment at RMUoHP, for holidays that integrate our love of good food and treats, and most of all for family, near and far.” – Melissa Capps, Administrative Assistant, Nursing Department
  • “I’m grateful for all the opportunities that present themselves in my life. I’m grateful to live in the country and situation I do live in that I have the ability and opportunity to help others within their own lives.” – Anna Bessey, Admissions Advisor
  • “I am most thankful for the wonderful people in my life and the rich experiences that enable me to stretch and become even more grateful for all the blessings in my life! The little things matter most, like serving those around me and watching someone’s face light up like on Christmas morning through some small act of service I’d provided.” – Betsy Maxwell, Senior Executive Assistant to Dr. Richard P. Nielsen
