At Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP), we see higher education as a bridge, rather than an ivory tower. We spread knowledge to students working to cultivate their careers and communities, transporting you to where you want to be. Through a user-friendly network of certifications, complementary degrees, and non-degree courses, we’ve built bridges that can transport you to a new phase of your career, and enhance your opportunities for advancement.
Our Certificate Programs: A Bridge to Greater Experience
Deepening your practice and taking on new professional roles may not require a degree. Our certificate programs provide you with valuable knowledge that elevates your career with minimal imposition on your day-to-day life. And if you want to take your study even further, these certificates become bridges to useful degree programs. Here are just a few certificates that make you a more flexible healthcare provider:
Healthcare Leadership & Administration Certificate
This 12-credit concentration in healthcare leadership teaches key concepts and practices for leading successful organizations. Over the course of a year, you’ll take courses in areas like organizational behavior, leadership and ethics, and healthcare delivery that train you to lead with vision and insight. Whether you’re looking to move into an administrative role or just be a better team member, these skills will translate effectively to your work environment.
Healthcare Professions Education Certificate
As an expert in your field, the prospect of teaching others has probably crossed your mind. This certification prepares you to enter into academia and improve your current teaching practices. Over four 3-credit courses, you’ll learn how to prepare a new generation of healthcare providers through classes in learning theory and application, curriculum design, instructional technology, assessment of learning and more.
Functional Nutrition Certificate
Healthcare providers are constantly discovering links between food and overall systematic health. Our Functional Nutrition Certificate puts you at the forefront of this growing field with courses in how food promotes vital health, and how the GI system and gut microbiome affect other physiological systems. You’ll gain a broader perspective on your patients’ health and become more able to affect wellness in meaningful long-term ways.
These certifications enable you to explore higher education without limiting your options. If you decide to pursue an advanced degree, many of these certificate credits transfer to programs at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, such as the Master of Science in Health Science, Doctor of Medical Science, and Doctor of Occupational Therapy. These degrees can even lead you to PhD programs that prepare you for the highest level of research and instruction. Essentially, our certificates are bridges that can transport you to whatever educational horizon you envision.
