Jane Ewoniuk

DSc., MOT, OTR/L, NBC-HWC

Assistant Professor

Dr. Jane Ewoniuk has been an occupational therapist for more than 24 years and has specialized in children and youth, specifically school-based practice. While her career has included adult outpatient, skilled nursing, home health and acute settings, she feels deeply connected to pediatric populations. Her early career involved working in a preschool in rural Wyoming. In this setting, she developed a strong sense of interprofessional practice working alongside PT and SLP in homes of medically fragile children and in center-based services. It was the early experiences of working as an interconnected team that provided Jane with her collaborative nature.

Dr. Ewoniuk is nationally board-certified as a Health and Wellness Coach and completed her Doctorate of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2013. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Wyoming, where she competed in Track and Field in the mile and 800 meters. She completed her Master’s of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. In her academic work, Dr. Ewoniuk has developed a school-based certificate to address the needs of school OT’s and served as a program director, capstone reviewer and as a PhD candidate committee member. Jane is the proud mother of three kids and happy wife to Allen. Jane resides in Colorado with her active family.
