First impressions count. Creating an environment that fits cohesively with our culture and brand helps shape a memorable introduction to the University and helps sets the stage for an experience that emotionally attaches people to our RMUoHP community at the front doors of our facilities. Our June AdvancingU team works behind-the scenes to allow us to focus on our jobs in environments that support memorable first impressions, sustained satisfaction, and quality student learning. Our Campus Facilities team of Penny Boothe, Nathan Spencer, Carla Shelton, Kelsey Frazier, Mykal Alsop, and Rachel Anderson are recognized for their focus on continuous improvement and their people-centric approach. From the moment we enter the buildings, these team members welcome guests, employees, and students and facilitate connections to all of us.
Multiple enrichments in the physical spaces in 561, Buildings 1 and Building 3 have also occurred and this team did an outstanding job getting rooms set up with our numerous expansions. As we look around, we see walls painted with new logo colors that solidifies the RMUoHP experience. New protective rails and corner protectors have been installed in hallways and classrooms and processes have been streamlined and are more transparent.
As the old adage goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words” and it is evident in the significant effort to recognize those individuals who serve our students and the University. The expansion of the picture walls in the hallways across campus demonstrate our appreciation and pride of those who serve our students. With the help of Jeanine Farmer, the constituent photos are now uniform and create a more modern visual. The graduation photos continue as a visual narrative of those who have made a significant imprint across our 20 years. Scott Carter, Director of Operations, commented, “It is wonderful to see the picture walls and the accreditation wall come together to provide a welcoming and informative environment. It is common to see students, visitors, and new employees enjoying the new displays.”
On behalf of our RMUoHP community, we thank the AdvancingU team and their team-inspired assessment and continuous improvement efforts that enhance the University’s services, products, and practices and provide individual attention to our community, our guests, and our environment.
