In honor of National Nurses’ week, Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions is pleased to announce two new articulation agreements with AmeriTech College and Nightingale College in Utah to facilitate the continued advancement of nursing education with the opportunity to transition directly from an RN-BSN program into a BSN-DNP (FNP) degree pathway.
As National Nurses Week is upon us, AmeriTech, Nightingale and RMUoHP leadership are all very excited for the potential these partnerships bring to the nursing industry.
“One of the best ways to recognize the contribution of nurses during National Nurses Week is to align institutions with a shared vision to elevate nursing practice. By advancing knowledge, we advance healthcare,” said Dr. Sandy Pennington, RMUoHP Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
“This articulation agreement between the two schools allows AmeriTech College’s BSN graduates to move seamlessly into advancing their degree with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. This will afford students the ability to move into a family nurse practitioner program which aligns well with the Institute of Medicine (2010) report ‘The Future of Nursing: Leading Change Advancing Health,'” said Dr. Melissa Popovich, AmeriTech College’s Program Director.
“Nightingale College is excited to announce another graduate school option for our BSN graduates. We have entered into an articulate agreement with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions has an outstanding reputation and offers several high caliber nursing graduate degree programs.” said Michelle Snow, Director of Academic Affairs at Nightingale College.
Interested students from AmeriTech and Nightingale’s RN to BSN programs will be eligible for fast-track admission to our Post-Bachelors Doctor of Nursing Practice program at RMUoHP to earn an FNP certification, and will be eligible upon successful graduation, to sit for the Family Nurse Practitioner national certification exam and apply for recognition as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with an emphasis on family practice.
In light of these new partnerships, and to show our appreciation for nurses across the globe who sacrifice so much to benefit their patients, we are also waiving the application fee for any nurse who applies to one of our DNP programs during #nursesweek! For details, click here.
Happy #nursesweek!
