Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology Cohort 1 Post-Commencement Party

Graduates of our first cohort of the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology program gathered together to celebrate their accomplishment. The student-organized celebration was attended by 11 of the Speech-Language Pathology cohort 1 graduates and family and friends who came from all across the country, including New York, South Carolina, Michigan, Illinois, New Mexico, California, and Colorado. Special guests included Dr. Kenneth Simpson, the director for the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology program, and his wife along with Dr. Richard Nielsen and his wife.

The celebration included a delicious lunch, words of congratulations and encouragement from both Dr. Simpson and Dr. Nielsen. The Speech-Language Pathology cohort 1 presented Dr. Simpson with heartfelt words of appreciation along with a personalized plaque.

The recent graduates also presented a “Thank You” slide presentation to their family and friends for the love and support over the years. There was not a dry eye in the room. Each graduate received personalized gifts that included framed artwork, a keychain, and personalized caramel apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
