Dr. Angela Merlo is an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at Northern Arizona University, Phoenix Biomedical Campus. Angela’s educational background began at the University of Puget Sound where she earned a BS in Physical Education. She went on to pursue a MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, as well as a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and PhD in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. Angela has taught in the areas of Neuroscience and Rehabilitation, Research Methods, Evidence-Based Practice and Clinical Communication. Her research interests include qualitative and mixed methods research designs, as well as intervention research for chronic neurologic conditions.
