Foundation General Scholarship

The Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions Foundation (RMU Foundation) Board of Directors is pleased to sponsor scholarships for the benefit of RMU’s students. These $1,000 scholarships are available to enrolled students who demonstrate excellent academic performance.

Who can apply for a foundation general scholarship?
Foundation general scholarships are available to all enrolled RMU students who are in good academic standing.

How can I apply for a foundation general scholarship?
Scholarship applications are available online and can be accessed by clicking here or the apply button above. As part of the application, you must submit an essay describing your academic performance and community involvement.

Are there admission or GPA requirements for a foundation general scholarship?
Students must be admitted to RMU and be registered for a full-time class schedule to apply (including online or independent study courses).

What is the application deadline for foundation general scholarship?
There are three application cycles throughout the year. Applications are accepted on the first (1st) of July (fall semester), November (winter semester), and March (summer semester), respectively. The deadline for each of these application periods is on the fifteenth (15th) of the months stated above (the scholarship application cycle schedule may also be found on the previous page).

How will I know if I was selected for a foundation general scholarship?
Scholarship awardees will be notified within sixty (60) days of the receipt of their completed application.

If I have previously received a foundation general scholarship, will I automatically receive one next year or do I need to reapply?
No, they are not automatically renewed. Students may be the recipient of a foundation general scholarship once per calendar year; however, if you are interested in receiving another foundation general scholarship the following year, you must submit a new application. Scholarships are not automatically renewed.

If you are a Financial Aid recipient, receiving any scholarship will affect your Cost of Attendance (COA), and it is your responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office if you are selected for an award. Should you be awarded a scholarship from any source (internal or external), take time to send the institution a “Thank You” letter.
