Alan Bybee

Part-time Faculty for Master of Physician Assistant Studies

Alan Bybee was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. After graduating from Bonneville High School, he attended Weber State College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Science. While working in the laboratory at McKay Dee Hospital he developed an interest in the Physician Assistant profession. In 1982 he was accepted at Western Michigan University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medicine degree while completing his Physician Assistant education in 1984. Mr. Bybee began his career as a PA working for Intermountain Healthcare at the Ogden and Layton WorkMed clinics. His employment with Intermountain also included correctional medicine contracts and coverage for family medicine clinics. After 6 years with Intermountain HealthCare, he began working with Planned Parenthood of Utah and continued working with them traveling from Logan to Price until 1995. He was hired by Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in 1995 and spent the next 28 years providing general medicine care at South Ogden Center for Family Medicine and Morgan Health Center. He has precepted students throughout his career and enjoyed it so much that in 2016, he started working as part-time faculty at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
