Dr. Brent Jefferies received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy in 2007, having studied previously at Brigham Young University. Soon after obtaining his PharmD, he moved to the Portland, Oregon area where he gained experience in community, long-term care, and ultimately compounding pharmacy. During that experience he enjoyed precepting pharmacy students from the Oregon State University College of Pharmacy and the Pacific University School of Pharmacy. He received the Preceptor of the Year Award for Community Pharmacy from the Pacific University School of Pharmacy in 2020. After 16 years in the Northwest, he and his family are excited to return to the beautiful mountains and valleys of Utah. Dr. Jefferies is grateful for the opportunity to join the faculty of Rocky Mountain University College of Optometry, meeting and working with students, helping them to become knowledgeable in pharmacology and other topics.
