Our goal is to ensure that RMU is a place for everyone. We work with students to provide academic accommodations, modifications for pregnant and parenting students, supportive measures for those who have experienced harm, and a path to address complaints of harassment and discrimination.

What We Do
Our Focus
This office supports equitable access and ensures compliance with civil rights and accessibility requirements.
Ensures Equal Access and Accommodations
Works with students who have disabilities, medical conditions, or temporary barriers to ensure they have equal access to academic programs and campus life. This includes reviewing documentation, approving reasonable accommodations, and coordinating implementation with faculty and programs.
Addresses Discrimination, Harassment, and Bias Concerns
Receives, reviews, and responds to reports related to discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, retaliation, and other civil rights concerns. The office ensures concerns are addressed promptly, fairly, and in alignment with institutional policy and federal and state regulations.
Education, Prevention, and Campus Compliance
Provides training, education, and consultation to promote inclusive practices and civil rights compliance across campus. This includes guidance on ADA, Title IX, and other equity-related policies to help create a respectful, accessible learning environment for all students.
