Dr. Bryan M. Gee, Ph.D., OTD, OTR/L, BCP, CLA, FAOTA, has been with Rocky Mountain
University of Health Professions (RMU) since 2014, initially serving as an adjunct instructor
in the Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program. In 2020, he transitioned to a
full-time role as the program’s director. In January 2022, he became the founding director of
the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program and the founding chair of the
Department of Occupational Therapy.

Dr. Gee holds degrees from Idaho State University (Ph.D. & M.Ed.), the University of St.
Augustine (OTD), and D’Youville University (BS/MS). He is board-certified in Pediatrics by the
American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and has an extensive research background,
with over 40 peer-reviewed publications and more than 80 national presentations. His
scholarship focuses on teaching and learning, sensory-based interventions, therapy dosage and
practice patterns, parent education and training, and sensory processing.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Gee has held various volunteer positions with AOTA and
NBCOT. He currently serves as an assistant editor for the Open Journal of Occupational Therapy,
a member of AOTA’s Commission on Education, and chair of the Representative Assembly’s
Competency-Based Education Task Force. In recognition of his contributions to the profession,
Dr. Gee was inducted as a Fellow of the American Occupational Therapy Association in 2023.
