Christa Young was born and raised in central Wisconsin. She earned her BS in Kinesiology and MPT at University of Wisconsin in Madison. She then moved to the Denver area, practicing full time while earning her PhD in Clinical Science at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. During this time, she was able to practice in a wide variety of settings with a focus on clients with neurologic conditions. After finishing her degree, she moved back to the Midwest, practicing at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN within their inpatient acute and inpatient rehabilitation programs. She was then asked to start an outpatient neurologic program within a group practice in Eau Claire, WI, serving clients in very rural areas of the Northwoods. She loves skiing, backpacking and playing in the wild outdoors with her husband, daughter (5) and dog.
