Assistant Professor

Dr. Elizabeth Willison received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in 2011 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2014. Dr. Willison started out her physical therapy career working in various settings to better appreciate the continuum of patient care, including acute care, inpatient rehab, subacute care, and home health. Before moving to Texas, she was promoted to Director of Rehabilitation at a swing-bed facility, where she supervised occupational and speech therapists, as well as physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. Dr. Willison is passionate about the rehab field and taught for two years at a physical therapist assistant program in Texas. Her favorite setting became pelvic health, and she helped develop inpatient and outpatient programs before starting her own outpatient practice in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Willison is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health (WCS) from the American Physical Therapy Association and a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC) through the Herman & Wallace Institute.

Dr. Willison joined the faculty of Rocky Mountain University in August of 2023 and is thrilled to teach again. When she isn’t teaching, she is engaged in the Doctor of Science program through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, treating patients in pelvic health, and exploring the great state of Utah with her husband and two young children.
