Ellen Kelly Wollman

PhD, MS

Dr. Wollman is a medical psychologist specializing in online graduate education in health promotion and wellness and preventive medicine with an educational focus on improving and protecting the health of the public at large. Dr. Wollman’s academic interests range from translational research focusing on the interface between the basic sciences and clinical medicine, to classes that present students with current information on how to affect real change across communities, the nation, and at the global level.

She is currently involved in a series of Congressional Briefings for the National Prevention Science Coalition to Improve Lives (NPSC). The NPSC was formed to apply evidenced-based findings in public health toward wide-scale implementation of effective prevention practices and health policy. These activities have provided Dr. Wollman with a wealth of knowledge concerning the overall operation of the U.S. Health Care System that she is privileged to share with her students.

Dr. Wollman received her BA from George Washington University, MS from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and PhD from Northcentral University. Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD is the nation’s federal health sciences university and is committed to excellence in military medicine and public health during peace and war. In addition to educating doctors for the uniformed services, the university also grants degrees to civilians in the basic medical sciences. Dr. Wollman was fortunate to attend the medical school while working towards her master’s degree in medical psychology.
