Erica Kiernan, PT, DPT, OT, MOT, PhD, received her bachelor’s degree in science at Old Dominion University. After graduating she served two and a half years in the Peace Corps living in West Africa, Republic of Benin. She is a graduate of the University of St Augustine Doctor of Physical Therapy program and Master of Occupational Therapy program. She earned her PhD in Public Health at the University of Florida. She has taught full-time in PT, OT, Health Science, and Public Health graduate programs since 2008, focusing on clinical neuroscience, neurorehabilitation, and public health. She has led annual international volunteer trips for students since 2009 to countries such as Peru, Ghana, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Brazil, Morocco, and Turks and Caicos. Her research interests are in educational leadership, blended teaching and learning, and Parkinson’s Disease.
