Dr. Erin Ross received her Ph.D from the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center in 2007, and her Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She completed a two-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Section of Nutrition, Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Ross is currently a Clinical Instructor in the School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Colorado Denver within the Center for Family and Infant Interaction. She also holds a faculty appointment at the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, and is a parent advisor for the Colorado Department of Education Special Education Advisory Committee. Dr. Ross’ research interests are focused on understanding feeding and growth in the medically fragile infant, and on identifying and treating feeding problems infants and children. She provides clinical consultation to several NICU’s in the Denver metropolitan area in addition to providing professional education and research consultation through her company, Feeding FUNdamentals. Dr. Ross consults at the STAR Center outpatient feeding clinic, and co-teaches the SOS Approach to Feeding course with Dr. Kay Toomey. Dr. Ross is the creator of the SOFFI Method, a training program for caregivers in the NICU. She brings over 21 years of experience in both NICU and outpatient settings, providing a perspective that crosses over the initial hospitalization through the first 5 years of life.
