Hina Garg

PT, PhD, NCS, CEEAA

Associate Professor

Hina Garg, PT, MS, PhD, NCS, CEEAA, is a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist focusing on clinical assessment and treatment practices using implementation science and quality improvement frameworks in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neurologic conditions. She is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, the Director of MS PT & Wellness Center at the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU), and an adjunct in the Department of Neurology at the University of Utah.  At RMU, she has also served as the Assistant and Interim Director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects.

 She completed her Bachelor of PT from GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi, India, MS from Texas A & M University, and PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Utah. At the RMU clinics, Hina has developed, implemented, and disseminated multiple care models for individuals with MS, vestibular, pelvic, and post-covid rehabilitative needs. In 2022, she was recognized by the National MS Society for going above & beyond in her work in MS and for founding the MS Center, the only kind in Utah. In addition, she has received many recognitions, including 2022 APTA Utah PT of the Year, 2019 ‘Outstanding Clinical Innovator’ by the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy (ANPT), and the ’40 Under 40′ recipient of the Utah Valley Business magazine. In 2024, she was awarded the Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Award from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Utah chapter.

Dr. Garg serves in many national ANPT and local APTA Utah committees and reviews grants and journal manuscripts to contribute to advancing the profession. She is a published author and has presented at state, national, and international conferences on her clinical and research interests. Her passion includes using data in clinical and administrative decision-making, evidence-based clinical practice, and training and development of faculty and student colleagues, clinicians, and other staff members. 

She enjoys running, hiking, cooking, dancing, and traveling to India to spend time with loved ones.
