Mace Hamblin has worked in the higher education industry since 2006. He earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah, after which he and his family moved to Phoenix, AZ, for nearly a decade, where he earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Arizona State University and a Doctorate in Health Sciences with an emphasis in Leadership and Organizational Behavior from A.T. Still University.
Dr.Hamblin was one of the early non-PAs in the PA education arena. He led the clinical education teams for two PA programs from 2008 to 2019 before joining the DMSc program full-time, helping one of those PA programs start from the ground up. Currently, he is a full-time faculty member for the DMSc program and serves as the faculty advisor for students in the Healthcare Leadership and Administration (HLA) concentration track.
Passionate about lifelong learning, he is a certified and experienced consultant in emotional intelligence assessment using the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0), and in 2021, he completed his training and became a national board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC). Dr. Hamblin is also an adjunct faculty for A.T. Still University’s Doctor of Health Sciences program. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, trail running, obstacle course racing (OCR), and DIY barbeque.
