Jan Reese

Jan Reese is the Director of Instructional Technology for Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP), Provo, Utah. As such, she consults with faculty to coordinate innovation in online learning and instructional design based on adult learning pedagogy and instructional design practices while promoting the effective use of technology in teaching and learning. She develops and delivers a multi-faceted training program to RMUoHP faculty, students, and administrators to promote the effective use of educational technology, including the use of the LMS. Additionally, she teaches courses in utilizing technology in higher education.

Ms. Reese received a BA in Professional Dance from BYU, and an MS in Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences from Utah State University. She is originally from Redondo Beach, California. Prior to her work with RMUoHP, she served as the Director of Dance at the Chadwick School in Palos Verdes, CA. Her work included the creation of an original WASC accredited dance program, writing a UC “A-G” Arts Certified Curriculum, and teaching over 300 students annually. Other affiliations have included serving as a technical director, manager, development consultant, and teacher for city, community, and professional organizations, including Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Anaheim, Arts Unlimited, South Bay Cities, Fred Astaire Studios, the Walt Disney Company, and BYU. Currently affiliations include volunteering at Courage Reins, an equine-assisted therapy center, and the Food and Care Coalition.
