Dr. Buxton received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 1997. She works primarily within the pediatric population. She works full-time for Georgia’s largest school district and provides PRN services in the outpatient clinic setting. In December 2022, Dr. Buxton graduated from Rocky Mountain University’s post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. She joined the RMU faculty as a capstone mentor and assistant professor in August 2023. She enjoys mentoring, supporting students, and working with other faculty. A native Georgian, she spends her free time with her daughters, ages 21 and 15, playing with her cats, and crocheting. She also enjoys volunteering with local youth, reading, and weekend getaways with friends.
