Kent Crossley

PhD, MS, ATC

Assistant Professor

Kent Crossley was born and raised in Soda Springs, Idaho. He is the oldest of 4 siblings. Some of his hobbies are gardening, mowing his lawn, grilling, learning to smoke meat, and spending time in the yard with his wife. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Exercise Science-Athletic Training and a MS from Northeastern Illinois University in Exercise Science-Cardiac Rehabilitation. Kent then worked in the Health and Fitness Industry for almost two decades managing and owning his own health and fitness business.

Kent began his teaching career at Salt Lake Community College where he taught in their biology and fitness technician programs. After several years of teaching, Kent earned his Doctorate in Exercise Sciences-Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. While working on his doctorate, he took a human gross anatomy course that required dissection. His love of the human body began to take shape and his desire to work as a professor of human anatomy was realized. His first job out of his doctorate program landed him at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions teaching human gross anatomy to any program that needed anatomy and even some of those that didn’t. Kent helped develop the new human cadaver lab as well as the digital lab in the tower where he calls it his second home. Maybe it’s because of the view!!!
