Kristy McClellan, PhD is an Anatomy educator, serving as an Associate Professor and co-chair of the Anatomy Department in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Dr. McClellan earned her PhD in
Cellular and Molecular Biology from Colorado State University in 2009. Her research and publications were directed at understanding the development of the mammalian brain and the mechanism by which neurons localize to specific brain regions and regulate behavior. She has over 12 years of experience teaching courses in Anatomy, Embryology and Neuroscience to undergraduate and professional students. Dr. McClellan’s current interests are focused on ways to best integrate current research and virtual anatomy resources for teaching in the health sciences.
Dr. McClellan enjoys continually learning alongside her Anatomy colleagues while spending time in the lab. She also loves traveling with her family; attending school concerts, swim meets and baseball games; cheering her kids on as they grow up.
