Kyle Matsel

PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS, PhD

Dr. Matsel is a Physical Therapist specializing in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation at ProRehab in Evansville. Kyle earned his bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science from the University of Southern Indiana and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville. Following earning his DPT, Kyle completed a residency in Sports Physical Therapy and received his board certification as a Sports Certified Specialist in 2013.

In additional to clinical practice, Kyle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Evansville. Kyle is very passionate about teaching and is most proud of the opportunity to influence the next generation of great physical therapy professionals. Currently, Kyle is pursuing his PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Kentucky where he is studying upper extremity specific functional testing in overhead athletes.

Dr. Matsel also serves as an instructor for Functional Movements Systems where he presents nationally on topics related to comprehensive, systematic movement-based assessment and testing. Kyle also serves as a consultant with a number of collegiate and professional sports teams regarding injury prevention and performance enhancement.
