Dr. Latoya Henry’s primary area of expertise is in pediatric occupational therapy. She began her career in an outpatient pediatric facility providing clinic-based treatment to children with multiple disabilities. In addition to working in that setting, Dr. Henry provided occupational therapy to school-age students in New York City Public and Charter schools. In 2014, she made a cross-country move to Los Angeles. There, she continued to work with students in a non-public school and in early intervention settings before transitioning to her current position in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Dr. Henry has been a fieldwork educator and mentor for many years. She is passionate about educating future occupational therapists. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Francis College in 2006, obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 2010, and graduated from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and obtained her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2018. Dr. Henry was born in Jamaica, W.I., and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She enjoys singing in church, traveling, dancing, and attending various social events.
