Laura McElhaney earned her undergraduate degrees in Clinical Laboratory Science (BS) and Physician Assistant Studies (BS) from the Medical College of Georgia, where she also earned a Master’s degree in Health Education (MHE). She earned her Doctorate of Health Science (DHSc) from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. McElhaney has been teaching in medical education since 1995 and has practiced clinically in family and internal medicine since 2003. She also has years of experience in the areas of research, faculty development, publication and medical speaking. Currently, she serves as a consultant for accreditation compliance, facilities planning, medical malpractice case review, and Title IX.
She is a full-time Professor for the DMSc program and serves as the faculty advisor for students in the Healthcare Professions Education concentration track. Presently, she studies Title IX part-time at Tulane Law.
