Misti Timpson graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Health Education and Biology in 1990, a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri in 1992, a post professional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Utah in 2008, and a PhD in Health Promotion and Wellness from Rocky Mountain University in 2019.
Misti received her NCS (Board Certified Specialist in Neurological Physical Therapy by the APTA) in 2003 and re-certified again in 2013 and 2023. She received her CBIS (Certified Brain Injury Specialist) in 2010. She worked for 25 years in acute inpatient rehabilitation for Intermountain Healthcare as well as 6 years at IHC Dizziness and Balance clinics. She holds an advanced competency for vestibular rehabilitation. She has been heavily involved in international medical service as a certified World Health Organization wheelchair provision instructor. She has enjoyed teaching people with spinal cord injury how to ski, horseback ride, cycle, play tennis, and waterski. She is involved with Healing Hands for Haiti and helped develop an outpatient PT and prosthetic clinic in Port au Prince Haiti. She loves to bike, play volleyball and pickleball, travel and spend time with family. She and her husband, Mat, have two children and 2 dogs, they reside in Sandy, Utah.
