Paul Stoneman graduated from the Army-Baylor University Physical Therapy Program in 1987 with a Master’s of Physical Therapy degree. In 2001 he earned a PhD in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University. His doctoral research was on the effects on gait biomechanics of non-operative treatment of patients with knee osteoarthritis. He also completed his tDPT degree from Baylor University and received a Master’s of Strategic Studies from U.S. Army War College. He is a board certified clinical specialist in both Sports and Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. Dr. Stoneman retired from the military in 2012. His assignments during his military career include Chief of Physical Therapy at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Chief of Physical Therapy and of the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Chief of Physical Therapy and Director of Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program at United States Military Academy, West Point. He has presented internationally on amputee rehabilitation. His research interests include functional outcome testing and therapeutic exercise. When not at work, Paul enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and playing guitar. Paul is a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit and has published over 10 articles in peer reviewed journals.
