Dr. Scott Heinerichs is the Dean of the College of Health Sciences at West Chester University. Scott holds the rank of professor and previously served as the graduate professional athletic training program director. Administratively he has served as a faculty associate in the Provost’s office for five years. He held responsibility for institution wide faculty development and program-level student learning assessment. Dr. Heinerichs served one year as an Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and was responsible for regional accreditation reporting and strategic planning. Collectively, these opportunities have enabled him to work with various constituents to leverage existing technology and resources to better demonstrate institutional outcomes.
His research interests are in the areas of outcomes-based education and clinical reasoning. He has presented and published manuscripts within the discipline of athletic training as well as higher education. He is an accreditation site visitor for the CAATE and MSCHE. Scott earned his Bachelor of Science from West Chester University, Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina, and a Doctor of Education from Widener University.
