Dr. Steven Wilkinson graduated from the Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1998. He attended the University of Utah where he earned a Master of Science degree in Medical Informatics in 2003 and in 2007 earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Informatics. He has spent most of his clinical career in the outpatient, orthopedic setting. Before joining the faculty at Rocky Mountain University, he was senior manager of Adult Rehabilitation at St Luke’s Health System in Boise, ID. Prior to that he was a full-time faculty member of Physical Therapy at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Dr Wilkinson was the former President of the Technology in Physical Therapy Special Interest Group of the American Physical Therapy Association. His research interests include informatics in physical therapy, technology, and standardization. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and twin sons cooking, gardening, traveling, singing, and just enjoying time together.
