Dr. Ball instructs courses for RMU related to Healthcare Delivery, Biostatistics Interpretation, Research Methods, & Healthcare Policy & Economics.

Dr. Ball disseminates research that advances value-based health care. He is the Director of Clinical Research & Data Quality for Population Health at Northwell Health, Great Neck, NY. Northwell Health is the state of New York’s largest healthcare system and serves the most diverse population of patients in the United States. In this role Dr. Ball directs interdisciplinary research for clinical & cost outcomes of population health management programs, including chronic disease prevention.

Dr. Ball evaluates population health care by both financial & health risks for patients, hospital systems, & payers/insurers. This includes investigating avoidable healthcare costs of unhealthful behaviors such as physical inactivity. He serves on the national Clinical Practice Committee for the Exercise is Medicine® initiative of the American College of Sports Medicine.
