Dr. William V. Hatch is an assistant professor in the College of Optometric Medicine at RMU. Dr. Hatch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology pre-med from Brigham Young University and a Doctor of Optometry degree cum laude from Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Hatch was recognized in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, international optometric honor fraternity. His research has been featured in the NeuroRehabilitation journal titled Neuro-optometric facilitation of vision recovery after acquired brain injury. Dr. Hatch has practiced for over 31 years and recently was an owner in a private practice in Utah County. His clinical emphasis has included primary care, specialty contact lenses, treatment of disease, and low vision. He has participated in outreach initiatives by providing free eye care services to underserved patients, supporting access to essential eye care. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Utah Optometric Association. He is married with three children and loves sports and outdoor activities.
