Alumni Student Support Scholarship

The Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) Alumni Association is proud to offer $500 alumni student support scholarships to current students who demonstrate how they will impact their community and represent RMU as an alumnus/alumna.

Who can apply for the alumni student support scholarship?
Alumni student support scholarships are available to all RMU students who are enrolled in an degree or professional certificate program of 18 credits or more.

How can I apply for an alumni student support scholarship?
Scholarship applications are available online and can be accessed by clicking here or the apply button above. As part of the application, you must be able to demonstrate how you will impact their community and represent RMU as an alumnus/alumna.

Are there admission or GPA requirements for an alumni student support scholarship?
Students must be admitted to RMU and be registered for a full-time class schedule to apply (including online or independent study courses). Students will also need a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible. Those who are selected for a scholarship will be required to maintain satisfactory academic progress toward graduation.

What is the application deadline for the alumni student support scholarship?
Applications for an alumni student support scholarship are accepted on the first (1st) of March until the fifteenth (15th) of March. Depending on the recipient’s academic schedule, the scholarship may be applied toward the summer or fall semester.

How will I know if I was selected for an alumni student support scholarship?
Scholarship awardees will be notified within sixty (60) days of the application deadline (March 15th).

If I have previously received an alumni student support scholarship, will I automatically receive one next year or do I need to reapply?
No, they are not automatically renewed. Students may be the recipient of an alumni student support scholarship once per calendar year; however, if you are interested in receiving another alumni student support scholarship the following year, you must submit a new application. Scholarships are not automatically renewed.

If you are a Financial Aid recipient, receiving any scholarship will affect your Cost of Attendance (COA), and it is your responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office if you are selected for an award. Should you be awarded a scholarship from any source (internal or external), take time to send the institution a “Thank You” letter.
