Alumni Student Support Scholarship

The Alumni Association at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions is proud to offer a one-time $500 Alumni Student Support Scholarship to current students who demonstrate how they will impact their community and represent RMU as an alumnus/alumna.

Who can apply for the Alumni Student Support Scholarship through Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions?

Any current student enrolled in an academic certificate or degree program of 18 credits or more is eligible to apply. Students will need a minimum 3.0 GPA to apply. Recipients of the Alumni Student Support Scholarship must demonstrate they will impact their community and represent RMU as an alumnus/alumna.

How can I apply for the Alumni Student Support Scholarship?

Scholarship applications are available via Award Spring and can be accessed by clicking on the link above. You will need to submit a general application. Applications are available during the summer application cycle and are due by March 15. Applications are submitted through the University’s Scholarship website and then reviewed by the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions Alumni Association Board.

Are there admission or grade requirements for Alumni Student Support Scholarship?

Students must be admitted to RMU and registered for a full-time class schedule in order to apply (including online or Independent Study courses). Those who are selected for a scholarship will be required to maintain satisfactory academic progress toward graduation.

What is the application deadline for the Alumni Student Support Scholarship?

The application deadline for the Alumni Student Support Scholarship is March 15.

How will I know if I was selected for the Alumni Student Support Scholarship?

Scholarship funds will be disbursed, in the form of a check or direct deposit, as per the student’s discretion, after the third week of each corresponding semester. Scholarship awardees will be notified within sixty (60) days of the close of the application period. The scholarship may be used to help students defray their tuition and living expenses.

If I have previously received the Alumni Student Support Scholarship, will I automatically receive one next year or do I need to reapply?

Applications must be applied for every year. If you are interested in receiving another scholarship, you need to submit a new application. Scholarships are not automatically renewed.

If you are a Financial Aid recipient, receiving any scholarship will affect your Cost of Attendance (COA), and it is your responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office if you are selected for an award. Should you be awarded a scholarship from any source (internal or external), take time to send the institution a “Thank You” letter.
