RMU Dependent Care Finance Grant

The Dependent Care Finance (DCF) Grant ($1,500) is available to full-time RMU students who are enrolled in one of our quality education programs and have the additional responsibility of supporting dependents.

Who can apply for the DCF Grant?
The DCF Grant is available to any RMU student that is enrolled, in good academic standing, financially supporting dependents, and is able to demonstrate financial need.

How can I apply for the DCF Grant?
Scholarship applications are available online and can be accessed by clicking here or the apply button above. As part of the application, you must also submit a personal statement explaining your financial need as a dependent caregiver attending school to receive a higher-education degree or professional certificate. Once your application is complete and the required documents are attached, submit the application through AwardSpring.

Are there admission or grade requirements for the DCF Grant?
Applicants must be admitted to RMU and registered as full-time students to be eligible. Applicants selected for the grant must be in good academic standing. There is no specific GPA requirement for this grant.

What is the application deadline for the DCF Grant?
The availability of this grant will vary. This grant will not always be available for each of the scholarship cycles. When the grant is available, it will be announced via email to the students of RMU.

How will I know if I am awarded the DCF Grant?
Awardees are notified within 60 days of the receipt of their completed application.

Is this grant automatically renewed?
The DCF Grant is not automatically renewed. Students can apply for the DCF Grant whenever it is available. Students will need to submit a new application when the DCF Grant is available.

If you are a Financial Aid recipient, receiving any scholarship will affect your Cost of Attendance (COA), and it is your responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office if you are selected for an award. Should you be awarded a scholarship from any source (internal or external), take time to send the institution a “Thank You” letter.
