Foundation DPT Scholarship

The Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions Foundation (RMU Foundation) Board of Directors is pleased to sponsor scholarships for the benefit of RMU’s DPT students. These $500 scholarships are available to enrolled DPT students who demonstrate excellent academic performance.

Who can apply for a foundation DPT scholarship?

Foundation DPT scholarships are reserved for enrolled RMU students in the DPT program who are in good academic standing.

How can I apply for a foundation DPT scholarship?
Scholarship applications are available online and can be accessed by clicking here or the apply button above. As part of the application, you must submit an essay describing your interests and goals in the field of physical therapy.

Are there admission or GPA requirements for a foundation DPT scholarship?
Students must be admitted to RMU and be registered for a full-time class schedule to apply (including online or independent study courses). Those who are selected for a scholarship will be required to maintain satisfactory academic progress toward graduation.

What is the application deadline for foundation DPT scholarships?
There are three application cycles throughout the year. Applications are accepted on the first (1st) of July (fall semester), November (winter semester), and March (summer semester), respectively. The deadline for each of these application periods is on the fifteenth (15th) of the months stated above (the scholarship application cycle schedule may also be found on the previous page).

How will I know if I was selected for a foundation DPT scholarship?
Scholarship awardees will be notified within sixty (60) days of the receipt of their completed application. The disbursement of scholarship funds will occur after the add/drop deadline date of each semester.

If I have previously received a foundation DPT scholarship, will I automatically receive one next year or do I need to reapply?
No, they are not automatically renewed. Students may be the recipient of a foundation DPT scholarship once per calendar year; however, if you are interested in receiving another foundation DPT scholarship the following year, you must submit a new application. Scholarships are not automatically renewed.

If you are a Financial Aid recipient, receiving any scholarship will affect your Cost of Attendance (COA), and it is your responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office if you are selected for an award. Should you be awarded a scholarship from any source (internal or external), take time to send the institution a “Thank You” letter.
