RMU Opportunity Scholarship
Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) offers $1,000 opportunity scholarships, which are available to offer individuals a greater opportunity to improve their education and, in turn, assist our communities with improved healthcare.
Who can apply for an opportunity scholarship?
Opportunity scholarships are available to any enrolled and registered student of RMU that is demonstrating academic progress and can communicate how their educational opportunity will improve themselves, their family, and the community.
How can I apply for an opportunity scholarship?
Are there admission or GPA requirements for opportunity scholarships?
Students must be admitted to RMU and be registered for a full-time class schedule to apply (including online or independent study courses). Those who are selected to receive an opportunity scholarship will be required to maintain satisfactory academic progress. New RMU students must provide transcripts and/or GPAs from their previous school.
What is the application deadline for opportunity scholarships?
There are three application cycles throughout the year. Applications are accepted on the first (1st) of July (fall semester), November (winter semester), and March (summer semester), respectively. The deadline for each of these application periods is on the fifteenth (15th) of the months stated above (the scholarship application cycle schedule may also be found on the previous page).
How will I know if I was selected for an opportunity scholarship?
Scholarship awardees will be notified within sixty (60) days of the receipt of their completed application. The disbursement of scholarship funds will occur after the add/drop deadline date of each semester.
If I have previously received an opportunity scholarship, will I automatically receive one next year or do I need to reapply?
No, you will need to reapply each year that you are eligible. Scholarships are not automatically renewed from year to year. A student may apply during all three application periods (July, November, and March); however, students may receive only one opportunity scholarship per calendar year. If a student is awarded an opportunity scholarship during a given year, that student must wait until the next calendar year to apply (when they will once again be eligible).
