Ph.D. in Health Sciences Scholarship

The Foundation Board of Directors of Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions are pleased to sponsor a scholarship for the benefit of the PhD in Health Science students of the University. Multiple $750 scholarships are available for enrolled PhD students who demonstrate financial need. A Student may be an awardee of this scholarship once per year.

Who can apply for a PhD in Health Sciences Scholarship through the Financial Aid Office of Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions?

Scholarships are reserved for enrolled PhD students of the RMU who are in good academic standing.

How can I apply for a PhD in Health Sciences Scholarship?

Scholarship applications are available via Award Spring and can be accessed by clicking on the link, on the scholarship home page. You will need to fill in the fields of the electronic application. You will also need to submit an essay describing your financial need, interests, and goals relative to the PhD program.

Are there admission or grade requirements for PhD in Health Sciences Scholarship?

Students must be admitted to RMU and registered for a full-time class schedule in order to apply (including online or Independent Study courses). Students in either the didactic or dissertation phases of the program are eligible. Those who are selected for a scholarship will be required to maintain satisfactory progress toward graduation.

What is the application deadline for the PhD in Health Sciences Scholarship?

There will be two periods of time throughout the year that this scholarship will be open for applications. They will be accepted on November and July 1st till the 15th of each month, the deadlines for each of these application periods will be the 15th of the months stated on the schedule.

How will I know if I was selected for a PhD in Health Sciences Scholarship?

Scholarship awardees will be notified within 60 days of the receipt of their completed application. Scholarship funds will be awarded on or after the add/drop deadline of each semester.

If I have previously received a PhD in Health Sciences Scholarship, will I automatically receive one next year or do I need to reapply?

No. If you are interested in receiving another PhD scholarship the following year, you need to submit a new application. Scholarships are not automatically renewed.

If you are a Financial Aid recipient, receiving any scholarship will affect your Cost of Attendance (COA), and it is your responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office if you are selected for an award. Should you be awarded a scholarship from any source (internal or external), take time to send the institution a “Thank You” letter.
