Nick Starr is an experienced human resources professional with more than 25 years of experience in areas such as compensation, recognition and rewards, benefits, payroll, employment law, performance management, and strategic development.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. In addition to his degrees, he earned the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certifications.
Starr had a long career with Nu Skin Enterprises–a billion-dollar, multi-level company with offices in over 30 countries. He started in accounting before being promoted to Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting. Following his role in finance, Starr transitioned to human resources and became the Director of Compensation, Benefits, & HRIS. After leaving Nu Skin Enterprises, Starr began human resources consulting, working with start-ups, and companies needing help in developing human resource strategies, compensation and benefit plans, performance management, and more.
With a desire to rejoin the corporate environment, Starr came to Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) to work as the Human Resources Manager. At RMU, he works to incorporate his years of experience with the needs of the university to achieve a positive culture and work environment, as well as increase performance for both the university and its employees. Currently, Starr is the Chief Human Resources & Strategy Officer.
