Whether you are a new or seasoned student or faculty member Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP) Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) is here to help you pursue your scholarly interests! Below is a brief description of all the employees and faculty affiliated with ORSP and how we can assist you.
Dr. Robert Pettitt is the fearless Director of University Research. In addition to serving on theses and dissertation committees, Pettitt also assists faculty with getting their research published; specializing in helping faculty publish their dissertation data.
Dr. Thomas Cappaert is the Associate Director of University Research and specializes in student research. Doctor of Science (DSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students could be assisted by Cappaert through the dissertation processes, from setting up their committees to statistical analysis support.
Dr. Tamara Gravano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and the Director of Survey Research. If you are going to use a questionnaire in your research, need help setting up a survey, or have questions about the many tools Qualtrics has to make your life as a researcher easier, Gravano is a valuable resource!
Ms. Shilo Bender is an Administrative Assistant who assists students and faculty with the University’s Institutional Review Board process as well as help faculty one-on-one with their research.
Dr. Emily Dykstra is a Statistical Analyst for the ORSP and the Associate Director of Institutional Research in the office of Strategy and Engagement. Dykstra is available to advise students or faculty in best practices of data analysis—qualitative and quantitative. She also sits on theses or dissertation committees.
An exciting addition to the ORSP staff this year comes in the form of two student residential research Assistants via a new research assistant program launched in January. The two PhD students in residence include, Sarah Fretti, a student in the Health Promotion and Wellness concentration, and Michael Kantor, a student in the Human and Sport Performance concentration. If you see them around campus, welcome them to RMU!
