Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) is proud to announce that the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Bridge Program has officially earned accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). The achievement reflects RMU’s broader mission to develop healthcare professionals and leaders equipped to meet evolving workforce needs.
“At RMU, we are deeply committed to creating pathways that expand opportunity while maintaining the highest standards of educational excellence,” said RMU Provost Malissa Martin. “The MOT Bridge Program provides a meaningful avenue for career advancement while helping strengthen the healthcare workforce with compassionate, highly trained clinicians.”
ACOTE accreditation affirms that the program meets rigorous national standards for quality, integrity, and educational effectiveness. The accreditation process includes comprehensive self-study documentation, onsite evaluation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure programs remain in full compliance with accreditation standards and policies.
“This accomplishment reflects years of thoughtful preparation, faculty expertise, and a shared commitment to student success,” said Dr. Sheri Montgomery, MOT program director. “We are proud of the team for achieving this important milestone and for continuing to elevate occupational therapy education at RMU.”
Graduates of the MOT Bridge Program will be well-prepared to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination and pursue licensure as they transition into advanced occupational therapy practice.
This achievement represents another important step forward in RMU’s continued growth as a leading force in transformative healthcare education.
