Pathways and Partnerships
RMU maintains various strategic partnerships with other higher education institutions and national professional associations, enhancing opportunities for our students and alumni. This can be done in a number of ways, including a simplified credit transfer process, preferred acceptance pathways, and tuition savings options. These partnerships help our students achieve their educational and career goals.

After completing 3 years and prerequisite requirements at SUU in the Exercise Science or Biology programs, applicants can be enrolled at RMU in the DPT program. Certain courses completed in the DPT program’s first year will then be transferred back to SUU for completion of the bachelor’s degree. This will allow students to progress to completion of a professional degree quickly with 3 years of undergraduate study and less than 3 years of graduate school.

Although, RMU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program will accept WICHE students from anywhere, whether the student receives state funds depends on whether there is a state-funded program within their state. (For Example, since there is no state-funded program in Wyoming, Alaska, and Hawaii, students from those states can receive WICHE funds to attend our DPT program.
RMU can also receive funds for students from Nevada as Nevada has determined that they have a greater PT need than what the schools in the state are able to supply for the state.
So in summary, RMU is able to receive state funds for students from Alaska, Hawaii, Wyoming, Nevada and now Guam and Mariana Islands.
