We will no longer be taking headshots or group photos on Thursday. Photographers will be available immediately following the ceremony to take any requested group photos.

Name Pronunciation
If you would like to provide your name pronunciation in advance of the ceremony, you may do one of the following by August 13th:
Use NameDrop (must set up a free account) to record yourself saying your name and send the resulting link to the Registrar.
Call 801.734.6816 (direct line for Gretel Cosman, Registrar) and provide the pronunciation over the phone or in a voicemail.
Name cards provided on the day of the ceremony will have space for writing your name using phonetic pronunciation.

Ceremony Schedule for Graduates (2025)
- Week leading up to Commencement – regalia that was shipped to the University will be available for pickup from the Registrar’s Office. Please call us when you park (801.375.5125, option 3) and we can bring it down to you, or you’re welcome to come up to our office!
- Thursday, Aug. 14 – University Showcase and Open House
- Friday, Aug. 15
- (10-10:30 a.m.) Check-in time (QR codes to check-in will be posted just inside West Entrance). Pick up name card after checking in.
- Regalia that has not yet been picked up will be available in the Media Room on the Southeast corner of the first floor.
- (10:30-10:50 a.m.) Processional lineup in the South side of the arena (behind the pipe-and-drape).
- (11 a.m.) Ceremony (Main Arena)
- Immediately following the ceremony, photographers and University Faculty, Program Directors, etc. will be available outside the West Entrance for any photo opportunities you would like!
PLEASE NOTE: If you are late for the ceremony, we will be unable to wait for you!
